Terms & Conditions – Altitude Badminton Academy

Welcome to Altitude Badminton Academy (“we”, “us”, “our”). By enrolling in our academy, booking sessions, using our services, or accessing our platforms (including the Spond app), you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not continue to use our services.

1. General Information

2. Enrolment & Membership

  • Enrolment in any programme, session, course, or membership confirms your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

  • Places are subject to availability and confirmed only once payment has been made or a payment plan agreed.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw enrolment for reasons including misconduct, non-payment, or breach of these terms.

3. Use of the Spond App

  • Altitude Badminton uses Spond as its official club management platform.

  • Upon enrolment, players/parents must register with Spond to receive session updates, schedules, payment reminders, attendance tracking, and important notifications.

  • By registering with Spond, you agree to their separate Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

  • Failure to join and engage via Spond may result in missed communications or session updates, for which we are not responsible.

4. Payments & Fees

  • All fees must be paid in advance or according to the agreed payment schedule.

  • We reserve the right to adjust pricing; any changes will be communicated with reasonable notice.

  • Late or missed payments may result in suspension of academy access.

5. Notice Period & Cancellations

  • Withdrawal from a programme, group training block, or membership requires 28 days’ written notice.

  • Notice should be provided via email or through Spond messaging.

  • Failure to provide the required 28 days’ notice will result in full payment being expected for the 28-day notice period.

  • Individual session cancellations with less than [insert timeframe e.g. 48 hours] notice are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.

  • Missed sessions due to personal reasons (sickness, holidays, schedule changes) are non-refundable.

6. Session Attendance & Conduct

  • Players are expected to arrive on time, with appropriate clothing, footwear, and equipment.

  • Respectful behaviour towards coaches, staff, and other players is mandatory.

  • We reserve the right to remove participants who engage in unacceptable behaviour without refund.

7. Coach & Session Changes

  • We reserve the right to:

    • Change coaching staff due to availability or operational requirements.

    • Modify session times, formats, or venues where necessary.

    • Cancel sessions in exceptional circumstances (e.g. facility closure). In such cases, we will aim to offer a rescheduled session or credit.

8. Health & Safety

  • Participants must inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, or additional needs prior to participation.

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring junior players are physically fit to participate.

  • In case of emergency, we may administer basic first aid and/or contact emergency services.

9. Liability

  • Participation is at your own risk.

  • Altitude Badminton Academy and its coaches are not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property unless caused by our negligence.

  • Players/parents should ensure appropriate personal sports insurance coverage if desired.

10. Photography & Media Consent

  • During sessions or events, photos or videos may be taken for promotional or training purposes.

  • You may provide or withdraw consent at any time by notifying us in writing or via Spond.

11. Data Protection & Privacy

  • We collect and store personal data (e.g. names, contact details, emergency information) solely for the purpose of delivering our services.

  • Data may be shared with Spond for communication and management purposes.

  • We comply with GDPR and will not share your data with third parties without consent unless legally required.

12. Termination of Membership

  • We reserve the right to terminate a player’s membership due to:

    • Repeated late payments

    • Breach of conduct

    • Non-compliance with these Terms

  • Termination for breach does not remove your obligation to pay outstanding fees, including the 28-day notice period if applicable.

13. Amendments to Terms

  • These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.

  • Continued use of our services following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
